Bob Collymore gives a rare update on his health [VIDEO]

Bob Collymore is coming back

Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore rarely speaks about his health in public after he was flown to London in October 2017 for specialized treatment.

On Wednesday, however, Mr. Collymore gave a small update on his health via a video link during the announcement of Safaricom’s Financial Year Results.

Speaking from London, he said that he was responding well to the treatment and was waiting for the doctor’s approval to resume his duties in Kenya.

“As you can see I am making pretty good progress. I am heading to the last phase of treatment and expect to be back to Nairobi as soon as the doctors feel that my immune system is sufficiently robust to withstand the infection risks that are usually associated with air travel,” he said.

“In the meantime thank you all for the messages of good. I look forward to being back in action in Nairobi,” he added.
