Tanzania President to form Special Committee to advice on Covid-19

Tanzania President Samia Suluhu has said that she will form a special committee of experts to advice on the way forward on the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Speaking on Tuesday, Mama Suluhu said the experts will look at the Covid-19 issue and advice government, because it is a matter that they cannot ignore.

She added that they cannot also accept that there is Covid-19 without doing their own research as a country.

“Suala la Covid 19 nafikikiria niunde Kamati ya Wataalamu waliangalie kwa upana wake kitaalamu halafu watushauri Serikali, halifai kulinyamazia aidha kulikataa au kulikubali bila kufanya utafiti wa kitaalamu wa kwetu,” said President Samia Suluhu.

During the address, she also ordered the reopening of all media houses that were closed down during his predecessor, John Pombe Magufuli’s regime.
