Witnesses goes missing

Actor Jamal Nasoor

Three important witnesses in the murder of TV actor Jamal Nassor have gone disappeared.

The prosecution told the court that three witnesses, who are key to the investigations, could not be traced.

This led to the prosecution asking the court for more time to probe and determine whether to charge the suspect or not.

Grace Kanamu Namulo, the woman accused of stabbing Mr Nassor to death, was detained until December 27 to allow the prosecution to conduct a conclusive investigation.

However, the defence argued against holding Ms Kanamu citing the case of Migori Governor Okoth Obado in the murder of Sharon Otieno.

Nasoor was stabbed at a party when a quarrel allegedly ensued between him and the woman who then picked a kitchen knife and stabbed him.

A police report stated: "It was reported that Jamal Nassor, 39, was having a party at Arks Hotel near 67 Airport Hotel on the night of December 11, 2018. There was a quarrel between him and his friend Grace Kanamu Namulo, 40. She picked a knife and stabbed him."

Murder Most Foul

The fight started after Mr Jamal Nassor asked the woman why she had been dancing with and accepting drinks bought by men who attended the party she organised at Arks Hotel in Mlolongo, Machakos County.

Police were informed that Nassor had been stabbed and was being taken to Shalom Hospital by two men.

They were looking for the men as reports indicated that they took the body back to the crime scene after the victim was pronounced dead on arrival at Shalom.

According to officers, Nasoor was pronounced dead by a doctor while still in the passenger’s seat of the suspects' vehicle, a Toyota Axio.
