Angry mourners silence John Mbadi at Suleiman Dori's burial

Wrong place, wrong time

Minority Leader John Mbadi heckled after badmouthing DP Ruto at Suleiman Dori burial

National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi was on Monday heckled by mourners at the late Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori's burial.

The Suba South legislator was forced to cut short his speech after the irate mourners took offence with his sentiments.

The ODM Chairman allegedly linked Deputy President William Ruto to the Sh39 billion fake arms deal.

"It's such shame for the second-highest position in Kenya to hide criminals," Mbadi stated.

The statement riled up an MCA who grabbed the microphone from the ODM official and physically pushed him out of the podium.

Not the place for politics

Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi who was also accorded an opportunity to mourn his colleague and equally expressed his disapproval of what Mr Mbadi had spoken.

"We have all the time to do politics so this is not the place to speak such things, today let's say goodbye to our friend, we'll get back to politics later," he stated.

MP Dori passed away on Monday morning as he was undergoing cancer treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital in Mombasa.

He was a well-known supporter of DP Ruto which caused him to be punished by the ODM party over what was labelled as disrespect for the party leader.
