Why Larry Madowo Banned Moses Kuria from NTV Show
Here are the full details of why the two cannot see eye-to-eye
Madowo, who hosts NTV’s Sidebar show, stated that Kuria was banned from appearing on any panel he (Madowo) was moderating.
According to the journalist, the lawmaker was a disrespectful man.
“Moses Kuria is not welcome on any shows I'm hosting. He does not respect me or my colleagues & I've told him as much,” Madowo told a tweep who asked him to host the legislator.
Madowo and Kuria clashed last year during a heated live interview on NTV in which the news anchor was accused of being bias and unprofessional.
The interview took place after Kuria, who was among the infamous Pangani Six, was released from police custody.
During the controversial interview, things took a rough turn when Madowo made an error in his facts and accused Kuria of having four hate speech cases hanging around his neck.
"I have seen you say I have four cases. I don’t have four cases and because you already pre-formed in your mind who Moses Kuria is, you cannit have courtesy to do some basic research. Do you know I can even take legal action against you?
"But I cannot take action against you because I know where you are coming from. You are coming from ignorance and the perception that Moses Kurai is a bad person," Kuria said.
The former The Trend show host was heavily condemned on social media because of the interview with some calling on him to apologise.
However, he insisted that he would never apologise stating:"I stand by my interview with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Saturday night. All of it. If I were to do it again, I wouldn’t change a thing".
