Jubilee nominated MP Isaac Mwaura has disclosed unknown details, hours after Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s home was raided by EACC detectives.

In a tweet, the MP said that Governor Waititu was very broke when they campaigned during the 2017 elections and he should explain where he got the money to purchase properties he owns around Nairobi.

Mwaura also commended the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives for raiding the Governor’s four homes, in search for evidence.

Waititu’s homes raided

Isaac Mwaura’s sentiments come just hours after EACC detectives raided Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s homes in Runda and Garden Estate, on Thursday morning.

The detectives arrived at the Governor’s residence a few minutes to 5am in search of documents in the ongoing corruption probe in Kiambu County.

Waititu has been on the EACC radar over questionable expenditure at the county in the last financial year, and is also facing allegations of procurement irregularities, including the ‘Kaa Sober programme’, which was aimed at rehabilitating alcoholics in Kiambu County.
