Raila makes unexpected offer to DP Ruto

Raila made the surprise announcement on Thursday evening in Kericho County.

NASA leader Raila Odinga has now offered to help DP William Ruto clinch the presidency in 2022 if he wants his assistance.

Speaking during the burial of ODM chairman for Kipkelion East, William Koech, Odinga stated that Ruto needed his influence to achieve his dream.

"Does Ruto think he can be a president without Raila? I can help him get there if he wants," the former Prime Minister said.

DP William Ruto responds to Raila However, in a quick response, Deputy President William Ruto's spokesman David Mugonyi questioned why Raila wanted to 'support' Ruto yet they had an agreement with Kalonzo Musyoka. “We thought Raila signed an agreement to support Kalonzo. Odinga and Ruto don't see eye to eye since their fall out after the 2007 election that was marred by violence.During an interview, the DP once mentioned that the former premier only see's him as a son of peasant adding that his achievements have astonished him.

Meanwhile, NASA has insisted that Odinga will be sworn in at Uhuru Park despite the venue being closed by Nairobi County for "renovation."Opposition supporters and police are likely to clash if NASA doesn't change the venue or cancel the whole oath plan.Religious leaders and the international community have been pushing both Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta to hold dialogue to no avail.
