Alfred Mutua issues warning after Uhuru's meeting with Raila

What the Machakos Governor wants in the Uhuru-Raila deal

Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has issued a warning following the meeting between Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Through his Twitter account, Mutua warned Kenyatta and Odinga “not to be derailed by a few known fence sitters.”

He also expressed hope that the new beginnings would see Kenyans and development take centre stage and “not using tribal cocoons to bargain for positions.”

The Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) party leader also reiterated the importance of Kenyans feeling included in the National Agenda.

The Governor hailed the two leaders for their courage in uniting the country after a prolonged divisive electioneering period that saw Odinga lead the opposition in refusing to recognize the legitimacy of President Kenyatta.

His statement comes as a section of NASA principals bash Odinga for meeting Uhuru without informing them terming the meeting an act of betrayal.

Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula have all maintained that they were neither informed nor consulted about the meeting but only came to learn of it on television.

Mutua fell out with Kalonzo and decamped to Maendeleo Chap Chap and has been involved in supremacy wars with Kalonzo Musyoka for the control of Ukambani politics.
