Francis Mureithi speaks for the first time after Court of Appeal upheld Babu’s election

The Court of Appeal upheld Babu Owino's election on Friday

Embakasi East MP aspirant Francis Mureithi has spoken for the first time after the Court of Appeal upheld the election of Babu Owino.

In a post on his Facebook page, the Jubilee party aspirant thanked his supporters for their continued support adding that his lawyers are still looking into the judgement and he will announce a way forward next week.

“First I want to thank the Almighty God for walking with us in this journey of seeking justice for the people of Embakasi East, Secondly, I want to appreciate my supporters for the continued support and prayers. Let’s stay calm and give my able lawyers time to go through the judgement that was delivered today. I shall announce my next course of action early next week. GOD BLESS EMBAKASI EAST.” Mureithi said.

His words came after Court of Appeal Judges, Justice Mohamed Warsame, Daniel Musinga and Kathurima M’Inoti overturned the High Court ruling that nullified Babu’s election as Embakasi East MP.

In March, High Court Judge Justice Joseph Sergon nullified Babu Owino’s election citing massive electoral malpractices.
