2 injured as NASA senator is attacked in Kakamega

He was coming from a school opening ceremony

It is reported that the senator’s security detail was forced to shoot in the air to disperse the youths as his supporters retaliated.

The vocal senator is said to have accused politicians from the region of frustrating efforts to revive Mumias Sugar Company.

“Some leaders from Mumias are using their might to make sure industries from this region fall,” said Malala.

Cleophas Malala reported the incident to Mumias Police Station.

Kakamega OCPD Peter Katam said that investigations into the matter were underway and a man hunt had already been started for the youth who caused the chaos.
