Manduli to DP Ruto

Well-known politician Orie Rogo Manduli on Wednesday night gave Deputy President William Ruto a piece of advice on his anticipated presidential bid.

Speaking during the Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) show, Ms. Manduli told DP Ruto to forget about being President in 2022. Mr. Ruto has expressed his interest in succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The former Ambassador asked Ruto to relax and enjoy the wealth he has acquired noting that Opposition chief Raila Odinga would beat him hands down during the next polls.

"You think Baba (referring to Raila) can beat Ruto?" JKL show host Jeff Koinange asked.

"What is Ruto?" Manduli wondered.

She added: “He should go spend his wealth, he has gathered it. He cannot be President.”

Manduli then went on to make accusations against DP Ruto which Pulselive.co.ke cannot republish because of the legal implications and lack of evidence. However, she boldly stated that she was ready to defend her claims in any court.

She further alleged that Mr Ruto was inhibiting President Kenyatta’s efforts to build a legacy with the rampant political campaigns for 2022.

"Right now the President is running the country alone because his vice is busy trying to be President. We already have a President but he is trying to be President. He does not even allow this President to perform,"she said.

Manduli supported the referendum noting that it will allow the President to have a support system in carrying out his mandate.
