Divulging the news online, the beautiful politician mentioned that the swindlers were sending messages to her colleagues asking for money.
Warning to public
The mother of one highlighted that the recent message was sent to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi. She warned the public against falling for the scam noting that police were investigating the matter.
“It has come to my attention that conmen and Women are sending messages to the public and especially to the members of Parliament using my name and asking them for money.
“Please if you receive such a message and you happen to know my true number kindly confirm with me first before you fall into their trap! The matter is being investigated and I pray that they all get arrested soon and face the law!” she posted.
Ms. Lay, who was previously a member of ODM, defected to Jubilee party before the August 8 General Election.
“I will not be afraid to tell you that I am running for the Senate seat on the Jubilee Party. Politics is all about numbers and we have to sit where the cake is being shared,” she said before quitting.
