Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Thursday met prisoners at Kamiti Maximum Prison and gifted them with success cards and mathematical sets for their use in KCPE and KCSE exams set to start next week.

According to Sonko, he was compelled to reward the inmates with materials in various prisons after learning that most of the prisoners were not well equipped in preparations for this year’s final exams.

"I was touched by the inmate’s plight since they had no one to wish them success & also buy for them exam materials,” reads the tweet.
