What Miguna thinks of Uhuru’s demand on his brother

Uhuru has taken the war on graft to his brother, Muhoho Kenyatta's doorstep.

Self-declared National Resistance Movement leader Miguna Miguna has trashed earlier calls by President Uhuru Kenyatta on his intention to, in fact see his own brother charged with corruption, if found guilty.

The former aide to Raila Odinga said on twitter that the police would not be bold enough to investigate Mr Muhoho, whom Aldai MP Cornelly Serem on Tuesday accused of importing contaminated sugar.

“Stop your churlish lies Mr. Tyrant Uhuru Kenyatta. The incompetent, morally rotten, castrated and shackled National Police Service cannot investigate your brother, Muhoho, or your mother, Ngina, because they are the de facto co-presidents,” the lawyer tweeted.

Earlier on Thursday, President Kenyatta shocked Kenyans when he openly, for the first time, said that anyone, including his brother Muhoho, is found to have imported contraband sugar, be investigated and prosecuted.

The President spoke while attending the 2018 American Chamber of Commerce Economic Summit at UN in Gigiri, Nairobi.

He further stated that has full confidence in government agencies involved in the fight against corruption.

"People are out there bundling my brother yesterday... I have no problem. If he is guilty let him be dealt with, what's the problem?" the President said.

He added: "We must develop trust in our institutions, that they will protect the innocent and prosecute the guilty."
