Did Jeff Koinange have secret info on Miguna’s deportation?

Did Jeff Koinange know?

Mr. Koinange who works for Royal Media House (RMS) found himself in the middle of the saga that transpired at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Monday night and was able to provide exclusive footage for Citizen TV.

Putting the speculations about his presence on the flight to rest, Mr. Koinange divulged that it was a mere coincidence.

In an interview with Edaily, the JKL show host noted that he was headed to Hamburg, Germany after landing a deal with an oil company.

The drama which escalated at JKIA saw the flight delayed by 1 hour 30 minutes.

A spot check by Pulselive.co.ke also proved that Koinange could not have known about the deportation as minutes before the drama unfolded he told one of his twitter followers that Miguna was not on the flight.

The journalist linked this to the presence of NASA leader Raila Odinga at JKIA, who was reported to have proceeded to the airport to save the Canadian-based lawyer.

On Monday, Miguna arrived in Kenya at 2.30Pm but was detained at the Immigration Department because he did not possess a Kenyan passport.

He was asked to surrender his Canadian passport then apply for a Visa but he refused.

According to Miguna, applying for the Visa as a tourist would restrict him from conducting his political activities in the country.

After a stand-off of more than 8 hours, a battalion of police officers bundled the fiery lawyer into an Emirates flight in a bid to deport him to Dubai.

The Immigration officers claimed that Miguna was an undocumented visitor who cannot be allowed in the country.

However, Miguna refused to board the plane and stood at the door restricting any movement.

Eventually, the captain locked the plane’s door and Miguna was left at JKIA’s runway.
