<h1>Meru senator Mithika Linturi has found himself in a humiliating situation after being de-registered from the University of Nairobi for presenting fake documentation.</h1>

<p>Reports reaching Pulse Live Kenya indicate that Senator Linturi presented the fake papers in order to obtain a degree certificate.</p>

<p>Senator Linturi was one of the politicians blacklisted by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for failing to pass the integrity test before the August 8 elections.</p>

<p>According to Linturi, he graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2001 but according to the EACC he is not a graduate of the University.</p>

<p>This is not the first time the senator has been caught in a similar predicament as in 2013, Linturi was accused of presenting forged academic documents to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission in the 2013 elections.</p>
