Raila rehearses his oath at NASA event ahead of his swearing-in

NASA in final push to swear in Raila

Opposition chief Raila Odinga treated his supporters to a rare spectacle after he took to the podium with a rehearsal of how he would take the oath of office.

NASA supporters who attended a rally addressed by NASA principals in Machakos were treated to a surprise rehearsal by their leaders ahead of Odinga's January 30 swearing in.

With a Bible in his hand, the NASA leader stated that on 30 January, he would declare that “Mimi Raila Amolo Odinga, naapa ya kwamba, nitatetea katiba ya Kenya na nguvu yangu yote. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu nisaidie”

Amidst cheers from his excited supporters, the NASA chief invited his supporters to pour into Nairobi for the big event.

Odinga assured his supporters that come 30 January, his Co-principal Kalonzo would be in attendance to witness the event.

He also dismissed media reports that the NASA principals are split over the event, stating that “Kalonzo na Raila na Wetangula, watasimama pamoja, hakuna mahali tutaenda”.

He took a swipe at the Jubilee administration for failing to fulfil its pledges. Jubilee promised free secondary school among other promises but according to Odinga, none of these has been fulfilled.
