The Wiper Party leader who took his wife to Germany for specialized treatment told journalists who contacted him when the rumours spread like a bush fire that his wife was recuperating.

“Mwikethiwe na kyeva, Mama e thayu, indi ni muwau (there is no cause for alarm, Mama is alive but still unwell,” Mr Musyoka told Mbaitu FM.

At the same time, Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo criticized Kenyans who were spreading the fake news.

“Those circulating rumors of the well being of Pauline Musyoka should stop. She is well and we should all pray for her quick recovery,” Mr. Kilonzo tweeted.

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula also commented stating: "Those hatemongers spreading fake News about Pauline Kalonzo should be ashamed! visited brother Kalonzo last week and i was very encouraged".
