Senior Director of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President - Dennis Itumbi – on Tuesday informed Kenyans of an important phone number they ought to be aware of ahead of the fresh presidential election.
Mr Itumbi shared the hotline number with Kenyans highlighting that they are to used it in case they feel their lives are in danger on polls day.
“Has anyone told you not to dare vote? Is your life being threatened? Send a text or WhatsApp message with details to +254736002529 - Your identity will be protected,” he posted.
The State House official indicated that Kenyans must not be bullied not to participate in the upcoming election.

Speaking to a local daily, Itumbi noted that he had received calls from Kenyans afraid of voting on election day.
This comes at a time the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga called on their supporters not to participate in the polls.
President Uhuru Kenyatta warned the Opposition against disrupting the election through demos that will be held across the country.
