Jubilee reaches out to NASA ahead of Raila Odinga’s swearing in

Talks bear result as Jubilee reaches out to NASA

In a message that was passed on to the NASA leadership by a team of foreign envoys and religious leaders, Jubilee expressed the desire to enter into dialogue with the opposition.

Addressing the press shortly after a meeting with foreign envoys to address the political situation, NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula stated that “the representatives told us that our competitors Jubilee were ready for dialogue on the way forward for the country, it is now time to agree on what will be on the table for discussion.”

This comes as religious leaders and foreign envoys are in frantic effort to broker dialogue and convince NASA to shelve its plans to swear inRaila Odinga.

The swearing in of the opposition chief is scheduled for 12 December 2017 at a venue that is yet to be disclosed with the Attorney General Githu Muigai maintaining that the event will be illegal.

Earlier on, President Kenyatta had indicated that he was ready to engage in dialogue with the opposition only after the repeat polls which the opposition boycotted.

However, a section of Jubilee politicians have been opposed to any talks, claiming that the NASA leader was keen on sharing power with President Kenyatta under a coalition government arrangement.
