The Governor was the only NASA politician to congratulate Uhuru

Josphat Nanok, who is the Turkana Governor, sent out the congratulatory message on behalf of the Council of Governors, where he serves as the Chair.
Nanok, who is also the ODM National Vice Chairman, wished President Kenyatta success and vowed to work with him in enforcing devolution.
“I wish to congratulate President-Elect Hon Uhuru Kenyatta on your re-election to serve the Republic of Kenya for a period of five years”.
"The Council of Governors is looking forward to working with your Government in ensuring that Devolution gains attained in the last four years are protected…,” Nanok’s statement read in part.
However, the seemingly innocent statement was viewed along political lenses. A section of social media users aligned to Jubilee used the message to show that NASA leader Raila Odinga was losing ground among his troops.
On the other hand, Opposition supporters appeared to have been angered by Nanok’s letter which went contrary to NASA’s insistence that Kenyatta’s victory was illegitimate, even after the Supreme Court ruling.
Nanok had earlier in October defied NASA's call to have demonstrations during the October 26 election, insisting that those who did not wish to vote ought to have stayed home.
