President Uhuru Kenyatta has updated the ambassadorial appointments he made a few weeks ago which saw State House spokesperson Manoah Esipisu replaced by former Citizen TV news anchor Kanze Dena in an acting capacity.
In the latest update, Mr. Esipisu has been nominated to be Kenya’s High Commission to the United Kingdom.
Former Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) chairperson Sarah Serem will now be representing Kenya in China while former CID boss Ndegwa Muhoro was sent to Malasyia.
Former director at the National Intelligence Service (NIS) Chris Karumba Mburu was nominated to be Kenya’s ambassador in Juba, South Sudan.
Maj Gen Samuel Nganga Thuita will be headed to Israel while former Ainamoi MP Benjamin Langat will be in Namibia.
Former executive director of the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation Amb Peter Nicholas Oginga Ogego was placed in Saudi Arabia, former Kasipul Kabondo MP Paddy Ahenda will be representing Kenya in Qatar and Lt-Gen Johnson Kimani Ondieki was sent to Turkey.
Following the presidential nomination the nine will undergo a parliamentary vetting process before they can officially take up their new roles.
