Raila visits ailing Mombasa governor Hassan Joho [Photos]

Former Prime Minister and ODM party leader, Raila Odinga visited ailing Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho who is recovering after being discharged from hospital.

Odinga spent time with the stylish governor who was in good spirits at his Vipingo residence wished him a quick recovery on Saturday, 16 November 2019.

"Visited the Governor of Mombasa Hassan Joho at his Vipingo residence to wish him quick recovery following his recent hospitalization after a bout of Malaria. It was good seeing him in good spirits." Wrote Odinga.

Joho fell sick on Thursday, last week and after was admitted for further medical checkup after visiting the hospital.

Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo and Mvita MP Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir were among the dignitaries who visited him at the hospital when he was ailing.

Not too sick to throw a punch

Despite being sick, the tovernor has keep abreast with the unfolding events in Kenya's political scene.

Shortly after ODM's Imran Bernard Okoth floored Jubilee's McDonald Mariga in the Kibra by-election, the governor too a swipe at Deputy President William Ruto as he joined in the celebrations.

Playing on the 'bedroom' analogy that was adopted by the ODM side for the heated election, Governor Joho told the DP Ruto that he would have seen the loss coming.

"We knew it was going to go that way…Those others never knew that before you get into the bedroom you have to pass through a gate, the living room and many other doors before you get to the bedroom," Governor Joho advised.
