Several injured in CBD explosion

Several people have sustained injuries in a suspected gas explosion in the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).

Reports reaching Pulselive.co.ke indicate that the explosion occurred in a hotel at Kamukunji, next to the Country bus stage.

Eye witnesses said that a gas cylinder exploded at a popular fast food in Kamukunji, identified as Classio Hotel

According to St. John’s Ambulance, casualties have been rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH)

"At least 14 injured, including an infant at Kamukunji gas explosion. Casualties taken to Kenyatta National Hospital," said St. John's Ambulance.
