Vocal MP shocks public by praising DP Ruto as a 'fair thief who steals something small and shares it'
DP is not as corrupt as his critics say, hee has organised himself and you know polls is about eating well-Osoro
Osoro who was speaking at a fund-raiser which was attended by DP Ruto in Nyamira told residents Deputy President William Ruto is better than the rest as he shares what he gets, maintaining that the DP is not as corrupt as his critics say.
"Eborie iga, aye onye tikwanya koiba, ng'ai okorusia chibesa ogotarera Kenya yaito igaa? Naende ninki ogotarera amatanga oka? Tori gocha ase emechango yekanisa buna eye, ogochia amatanga oka...na gochia bono onye noboibi obwo, gochia oria okorusia nke twareterwa igaa naintwe twanyora egento giaito igaiga (If you have never stolen public monies, where do you get the monies you use to traverse the country? You only go to funerals and never to harambees in churches...and if it’s about theft of funds, then better this one who steals something small and he brings it to us here," Osoro stated, speaking in the local Abagusii dialect
Osoro was part of a delegation of four MPs who accompanied DP Ruto to two different rallies in Nyamira County.
He spoke at Gekano Parish on Saturday afternoon before the DP addressed the church congregation where he had gone to raise funds.
He rallied the public behind the DP, stating that the community stands to gain immensely from the wealth that DP Ruto has ammasd.
"He has organised himself and you know polls is about eating well’(sic), we don't milk a bull, we go for a heifer and this is the person who can give you enough milk," the MP said.
Ruto who has been on a tour of the Nyamira county was the chief guest at a harambee in Tente SDA Church where he donated Sh. 1.5 million.
He also donated an unknown amount of money to Gekano Parish.
The remarks come at a time when DP Ruto's generousity is facing scrutiny from many who believe that much of what he donates are proceeds of corruption.
Leading in questioning Ruto's wealth is former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
