The Lawyers representing different parties at the Supreme Court in the ongoing Petition by the NASA coalition to challenge the presidential result have issued a new request to the Supreme Court.

Senior Counsel Ahmednassir Abdullahi was overheard on TV complaining about the atmosphere in the court room describing the environment as hostile.

The lack of space has become an issue of concern due to the high number of lawyers present at the Supreme Court and therefore the lawyers representing President Uhuru are requesting to be provided with a more spacious environment.

Rachel Ruto is no stranger to making bold yet elegant fashion statements, but during the state visit of the Dutch royals on March 18, 2025, it wasn’t just her outfit that stood out—it was her shoes. The Kenyan First Lady stepped out in a pair of brown suede block heels adorned with a gold emblem.

“Since there is a lot of parties here and there is a lot of documentation, could the court kindly facilitate a better environment than this? Some of the authorities when we are submitting disappear” said Ahmednassir.

The senior counsel suggested that each of the three parties in the case to have two or three of their lawyers occupy the front seat when making oral submissions so that the main lawyers can have a good environment.

Of the 26 lawyers for the parties in the case, only six spoke at the pre-trial hearing. The others representing those who wanted to be a part of the case also spoke.

The court room was fully packed, at some point Otiende Amollo a lawyer in Raila Odinga’s team was seen standing during the whole session.

According to the Chief Justice Maraga, Lawyers who will be representing anybody will be forced to squeeze themselves at the back of the room.

He added that the Television screens mounted outside the courtroom will allow the public to follow the proceedings.

However, lack of time has also been one of the most cited issues in the case.
