Popular NTV news anchor Larry Madowo has hinted at leaving his Friday show The Trend.

In a tweet on Friday, Mr Madowo mentioned that he had informed his team that he will be leaving but remained mum on his next step.

"A few weeks ago, I informed the team that I had decided to leave @theTrendLive," he tweeted.

The journalist did not divulge more on the matter but promised to lay the information bare in tonight's show.

Madowo has been hosting The Trend for over four years now after news anchor James Smart left NTV.
