Deputy President William Ruto and Opposition leader Raila Odinga met at State House when President Uhuru Kenyatta hosted South Sudan President Salva Kiir.
The two, who have been feuding over the weekend attended the banquet held at State House and were photographed having a conversation with both Heads of State.
Over the weekend, ODM leader Raila Odinga had criticised Deputy President William Ruto in his home turf over frequent church donations.
Odinga also talked about the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal whose cost he claimed was grossly inflated.
Feuds aside
On his part, DP Ruto dismissed the criticism as his allies resolved to shoot down a bill backed by ODM chairman John Mbadi on harambees.
Dr Ruto and Mr Odinga have been feuding over money donations, where they discredited each other’s leadership record.
Meanwhile, during the dinner, President Kenyatta expressed satisfaction that South Sudan had prioritized the search for a sustainable political solution to the conflicts.
“We are fortunate that the South Sudan of today has bold and dynamic sons and daughters, such as Your Excellency,” President Uhuru pointed out.
The South Sudan President was received by President Kenyatta on Monday at the start of his two-day State Visit.
