Wiper endorses Prezzo to vie for Kibra seat

Musician Jackson Makini alias Prezzo will vie for the Kibra parliamentary seat.

Pulselive.co.ke understands that Prezzo got an endorsement from the Wiper Party.

Wiper stated: "Jackson Makini aka Prezzo will vie for Kibra MP on a Wiper Ticket."

Pulselive.co.ke spoke to Kalonzo Musyoka's personal assistant Dennis Kavisu who said that Prezzo would vie on the party ticket in 2022.

"He approached the party for the ticket in the Kibra by-election but after consultations," the insider said.

"It was decided that he would not contest in the by-election but would instead be Wiper's candidate in 2022. For now we will not have a candidate in the by election," he continued.

Candidates cleared

This comes after the IEBC announced that it would be closing the vetting exercise on Tuesday afternoon.

Seven aspirants have been cleared by the electoral agency to contest the Kibra Parliamentary by-election.

Two hopefuls running as independents were turned back for lack of necessary documents to support their application.
