The accused, Ndubusi Okonkwo,  was arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and armed robbery, Daily Post reports.

The court heard that the unknown vehicle had registration number AAA75C and other particulars, all of which the convict had been unable to account for.

Alapere added that the crime had been committed by the accused and some others who are still at large.

He said that the offense was contrary to sections 6(1)(a) and 5(1) of the robbery and fire arm(Special Provision) Cap R11, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

However, the counsel to the convict, Mr Akponta Oku, pleaded with the justice to temper her judgement with mercy.
