The NASA lawyer told the show host and journalist, Ken Mijungu, that he would walk out if Ichung’wa appeared on the panel.
"Lastly, Ken, allow me to leave. I cannot sit on a panel with Kimani Ichung’wa because he sent a sent a tweet that I find offensive, a tweet that suggests its okay to maim and kill Luos,” Dr Otiende noted.
True to his word, when the Jubilee affiliated MP set foot in the studio, Otiende removed his microphone and stormed out.
However, Ichung’wa dismissed the said tweet highlighting that it was from a fake account.
The lawmaker mentioned that he was also shocked when his friends sent him messages asking about the hateful tweet.
"That is not my twitter account. I only have one Twitter account. I am in the process of having it verified. I even suspect these fake accounts are being created and operated by NASA propagandists," Ichung'wa said.
This comes a day after a report by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch revealed that 33 Kenyans killed by police were mostly from areas perceived to be NASA strongholds.
