Siaya Senator James Orengo on Friday took a swipe at KTN following a tweet questioning Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati work.
In the post, KTN asked viewers to air opinion on whether Chebukati was exercising command at the electoral body hours after an alleged explosive memo to IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba.
âDo you believe that IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati is in full control of the Commission? Send your views ,â the tweet read.
However, this did not augur well with Orengo, a renowned lawyer, who opined that KTN had posed the wrong question to the public.
The Senator mentioned that instead of inquiring about Chebukatiâs control KTN should be questioning whther the IEBC chair raised legitimate issues in the leaked memo.
âWrong question the right question is; has Chebukati raised legitimate questions?â he posed.
Mr Orengo lauded Chebukati for pushing Chiloba to give answers over the General Election which were marred by irregularities and illegalities.
âMethinks he has and he's on the right side of history,â Orengo tweeted.
The lawyerâs sentiments comes a day after a memo linked to Chebukati was shared on the internet exposing what happened behind the scenes during the just concluded poll.
According to the memo, Cehbukati wanted the CEO to explain several matters including why two individuals created a username account and password in the name of the Chairperson of IEBC without his knowledge.
