Divock Okoth Origi who holds Kenyan roots is a happy man after a section of Kenyans decided to express their love to the star in a special way.

Origi who plays for Liverpool has poured his heart out to Kenyans in a fluent Swahili post after seeing a graffiti drawing that has his face on one of the Kenyan matatus.

Through his Twitter; the Belgium international star has thanked Kenyans who made the art saying that he is proud of his roots.

“Asanteni sana kwa mafans wangu wote Kenya na especially wale wamemake this cool art.makes feel proud of my roots.Tuko pamoja na Godbless” (Thank you to all my Kenyan fans, especially to the ones that made this!I truly appreciate this& I am proud to be a Kenyan! #Proudkenyan “Wrote Origi on his twitter handle.

Origi who was born in Ostend Belgium has roots in Kenya as his father Micahel Okoth is a renowned former Harambee Stars player.

Just the other day Origi shocked the world after appearing on BBC speaking fluent Kiswahili despite being brought up in Belgium.

Divock who is a striker joined Lille in 2013 and become a member of the Belgium national team in 2014.

On July 2014 Origi made his first appearance in the Premier League after Liverpool announced that they had completed a transfer deal of five year, but was loaned back to Lille for the 2014-2015 season.

The striker scored his first goal of the season on the 23 of August 2016, while playing for Liverpool.

Origi is the cousin to Harambee stars keeper Arnold Origi who plays for Lillestrom in Norway.
