President of Kenya His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta has scraped off all entry fees for the ongoing IAAF World U-18 athletics championships in Nairobi.

The charges were set at Kshs 200 (terraces), Kshs 500 (VIP) and Kshs 1000 (VVIP) but the President has declared the event free for all Kenyans who would wish to watch their young athletics as from Thursday.

“From tomorrow, all citizens will be allowed to access Kasarani Stadium free of charge,” he said.

He made the major announcement while officially commissioning the championship at the refurbished 60,000 seater Kasarani Stadium.
