Kenya’s national rugby 15s will host Uganda in an Africa Golden Cup battle slated for Saturday June 24 at RFUEA Ground, Nairobi as from 4:00pm.
The Simbas will be going to the match heads up with an impressive record over their rivals.
In total, the two sides have met 29 times in record, Kenya winning 20 of the matches including the most recent five meetings.
Frenchman Laurent Cardona will officiate the Saturday’s clash which will double up as Rugby Africa Gold Cup competition for rankings and Elgon Cup for championship.
Cardona will be assisted by Zimbabwean Tinashe Kamwenje and Madagascar’s Stephane Rakotonirainy.
The match will also be broadcasted live from the RFUEA Ground on Kwese Sports, who are the Rugby Afrique’s official broadcast partners.
Kenya’s squad is set to be named on Thursday while Uganda’s assistant coach Robert Sseguya is already confident that his side will beat the hosts.
Each VIP ticket trades at Sh1000 and Sh400 advance.
