During the fiery show, which was by then being aired on KTN, Mr. Gachoka also uttered defamatory statements against senior government officials.

After the incident, Koinange declared that Gachoka was banned from the show stating: "Gachoka produced a lot of shockers of his own and we at KTN fell we had to take a stand because of his mannerism and behavior and what he was saying.

"Going forward from now on Tony Gachoka will no longer be a guest on this show," Mr Koinange said.

In the same year, Gachoka and Koinange landed in trouble for discussing businessman Jimi Wanjigi, Sani Mbui Wanjigi and Kwacha Group of Companies Ltd during the show despite a court order barring the discussion.

The two were charged in court and fined Sh2 million each for contempt of court or a jail term of six months.

However in 2017, High Court judge Roselyn Aburili ruled that the two were unfairly fined. She also stated that the ruling violated their right to fair trial.
