Mudavadi out of the race
This was disclosed by Amani National Congress (ANC) leadership, led by Cleaophas Malala and Godfrey Osotsi.
The leaders disclosed that fresh elections will be held in 2018 to elect leaders who can best serve the interest of the party.
Mudavadi will however not contest in the elections as the party leaders disclosed that the position will not be up for grabs.
The officials who were addressing the press in Kakamega condemned boardroom appointments “where two or three people gather in a room and make appointments.”
Several disagreements have been witnessed within the party as well as its coalition partners in National Super Alliance (NASA).
The troubles has seen the party lose out on key positions in parliament as well as in the East African Legislative Assembly.
The leaders took issue with the appointment of Barrack Muluka as the party’s Secretary General, claiming that the appointment was against the party’s constitution.
The ANC leader is one of the opposition principals positioning himself to inherit the massive support that Raila Odinga enjoys in the region.
