Self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna’s lawyers have been kicked out of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)

According to one of his lawyer Otiende Amollo, he together with other lawyers Senator James Orengo and Advocate Waikwa have been thrown out of JKIA’s Terminal 2 waiting area.

“#MigunaReturns...the Plot Thickens Further..Sen. Orengo, Adv.Waikwa & Myself have been thrown out of the Waiting Area of Terminal 2.. Dr. Miguna is now held Incommunicado!!,” he said in a tweet.

Otiende in another tweet said that they have been waiting for more than four hours but have not been given access to Miguna Miguna having come as the advance legal team.

Earlier reports indicated that Miguna Miguna had been detained inside a toilet at the JKIA after he refused to fill citizenship forms as earlier on directed by government in order to regularize his citizenship.

In a tweet lawyer Nelson Havi said, “Miguna Miguna is currently detained in a toilet at Terminal 2-Arrivals and has been denied access to his Lawyers. This issue is getting out of hand fast, because of impunity and outright incompetence in the Ministry of Interior.”
