Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Friday ‘sent’ money to the National Super Alliance (NASA) after a plea from Raila Odinga asking supporters to help financially.
In a Facebook post, Kuria purpoted that he had sent Sh5 to support NASA’s campaigns.
The post elicited an array of reactions with some opining that the Jubilee affiliated legislator was simply mocking the Opposition.
Prior to this, the former Prime Minister accompanied by his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka urged the public to support them financially as they spearhead their campaign ahead of the fresh presidential election.
He directed Kenyans on how to send the money using M-Pesa services.
"We're asking Kenyans to contribute to NASA to facilitate our campaigns on pay Bill No. 991444," Odinga said.
He further said: "Waswahili husema haba na haba hujaza kibaba. Ukitoa vile vile wewe utakuwa unanunua tikiti yako kwenda Canaan".
However, Jubilee leaders led by National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale sharply criticised Odinga for asking Kenyans to make the contribution.
Duale claimed that NASA was simply defrauding Kenyans.
The Garissa Township MP further asked the Opposition to account for other contributions that they had received from Kenyans.
