On May 26, Counting On star Jessa (Duggar) Seewald gave birth to her third child; she and her husband Ben welcomed daughter Ivy Jane at home, with the help of two midwives. But according to a new video released by TLC , Jessa's delivery definitely didn't go as planned.

Though her last two pregnancies lasted past their due dates, Jessa's water broke 10 days early this time; not to mention, her midwife wasn't available.

"Our birth plan through this whole pregnancy was that we would deliver at a birthing suite at the hospital with a midwife there," Jessa said in the new video, released Wednesday to promote the Duggars' show, Counting On . "However, the morning that my water broke was the morning that my midwife had left town for a week."

After drinking a castor oil smoothie (which you definitely shouldn't try at home, unless you consult your doctor) and walking up and down stairs to stimulate contractions, Jessa decided to go with Plan B: a home birth with two other midwives.

The entire birth is captured on film, and is honestly pretty dramatic. Jessa's two midwives coached her through breathing exercises and the birth-which happened on Jessa's actual couch. "Those first few moments right after baby's born, are the absolute sweetest moments of your life," Jessa said. "Just looking at that sweet baby, I always cry."

But baby Ivy's birth wasn't without complication-soon after she was born, Jessa and Ben called an ambulance because Jessa's bleeding wouldn't stop. There, the rest of the Duggar gang arrived to meet the baby. (The matriarch, Michelle, flew in on a private plane from Knoxville, Tennessee.)

Ben revealed that Ivy Jane's name was inspired by a historical icon. Shes actually named after Lady Jane Grey, who was a young lady who was Queen of England for a short time during the 1500s. She was a very inspirational character to us," he said.

Congrats to Ben and Jessa!
