Newly released Kikuyu song that could cause Ruto sleepless nights [Video]

"Hatuna Deni"

A popular Kikuyu musician Kimani wa Turacco has dealt a major blow to Deputy President William Rutos 2022 presidential vote.

The musician released a song dubbed "Hatuna deni, Kitaeleweka" in which he rallied the Mt Kenya voters not to vote for Ruto in 2022.

Less than twenty four hours after the song's release, the song has attracted a whirlwind and shared on numerous social media platforms.

The songs of the lyrics suggest that Ruto was paid his political debt in the past ten years when he has served as Deputy President.

"We went hunting together and when we slaughtered the debt, we shared equally... we nobody any debt and if any, maybe that of mshwari, " part of the lyrics say.

However, the song does not only refer to the lack of political debt, but refers to the ugly memories of 2007 where Kenyans from Mt Kenya communities were attacked and killed in the Rift Valley.

"We can forgive but we cannot forget. Dont say they are saved. Being saved will not prevent him from plucking someone's maize," the singer says in another part of the song.
