Popular Qwetu Radio presenter quits barely 3 months after joining the station

She is officially out!!

Popular Qwetu Radio presenter Selly Kadot Amutabi has called it quits, barely three months after she joined the radio station.

In a post she shared on her Instagram page, Ms. Amutabi announced that Friday was her last day hosting the

“Today marks the last day I went on air at Baraka Za Qwetu Na Kadot has been a great platform for me in the most humbling way. The jouney has been beautiful. A big thank you to my amazing bosses led by Victoria Anampiu, Madam Chebet, Ray Mutai and Joseph Maroa. This was more than work. It became family  my  of all time , OJO, Kim, Crane and the rest of the team. I will miss you dearly.The amazing fans led by you guys have been too kind. Nawapenda and may the Lord keep taking the Qwetu radio family to greater heights. On to my next assignment.,” read Selly’s post.

However, the radio queen did not reveal where she will be heading to for her next assignment.

Before joining Qwetu Radio, Selly Amutabi worked for the Nation Media Group’s QFM and was among employees who were shown the door after the Aga Khan owned media house decided to shut down its radio department and its Swahili TV division.

In the 2016 changes, NMG closed down Nation FM, Q FM, Q TV and their then Rwanda-based K FM.
