The children of Citizen News reporter Francis Gachuri were on Tuesday night heartbroken by the fracas at Wiper Party Headquarters which saw their father roughed up by rowdy youth affiliated with NASA.

The three youngsters witnessed the horrific incident on television as their dad was descended upon by the goons.

The trio moved on to write a sweet letter to Gachuri simply assuring him of the love they have for him.

Mr. Gachuri’s attack was heavily condemned by members of the Fourth Estate, who accused NASA supporters of profiling journalists along tribal lines.

However, NASA leader Raila Odinga publicly apologized over the shameful incident noting that the youth was acting on their own accord.

He mentioned that investigations will be made and those culpable will be punished.

"We wish to make it clear that the youth acted on their own and we condemn their actions in strongest terms possible. We ask media houses that may have captured the said youth on video to provide them to the Coalition for investigation and action,” Raila's personal assistant Dennis Onyango said.
