Crazy Akothee moments of 2019

What would we have done without Madam Boss!

Crazy Akothee moments of 2019

Many know her as Akothee but her real name is Esther Akoth. She has baptized herself the President of Single mothers and it's clear no one wants that title taken from her.

Most of us know her for her music and lavish lifestyle and Akothee continues to prove to the masses to be the hardest of Kenyan celebrities to deal with. She does one thing and before it is over, we have another.

One days she is preaching and inspiring women, another she is talking about her kids and how stubborn they are and just before you know it, Akothee is hurling insults at her critics. All these we love and always want more.

Fans have gotten used to Akothee’s stories from her ex-husbands, to men wanting to marry her daughters and advising women on how to make money from ‘sponsors’ before attacking them for envying her.

I stand to be corrected, but a day without Madam Boss (Another name she has adopted) being mentioned in the entertainment industry, it’s like nothing happened.

This year (2019) has been quite an eventful year for the Abebo singer and Pulselive.co.ke dug a little to bring some of the Akothee moments that blew out of proportion;

Opening legs while performing in Malindi

So, Akothee’s year started on a very high note as she put on a sizzling performance in Malindi, but what caught the attention of many Kenyans was her choice of outfit and the kind of moves she displayed on stage.

Her acts attracted lots of critics who argued that she was misleading the young generation with arguments that she is a celebrity whom many people look up to.

One person who expressed outright disappointment was Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua who warned Akothee that music did not have to be dirty to sell.

He said that Akothee was talented but her dirty and stupid stunts should be of concern to everyone.

Madam Boss ni nani? She wouldn’t take any of that, stating that when she was broke, nobody ever cared to picture her as a role model and opening legs on stage was part of what pays her bills.

Mini-skirt drama in parliament

After treating us to the daily little episodes of her life, Akothee was once again the talk of town after Parliamentarians raised issue with her dress code, during a visit.

Security guards tried to stop Akothee who donned a green suit with a mini-skirt in the company of Nominated Member of Parliament David Ole Sankok.

MPs protested that her dressing was not in line with the standing orders and attempted to bar her from having lunch with MP Sankok.

However, the melee was solved and the singer was allowed to access the lunch area where legislators dine, as she was asked to cover up and even offered a leso which she declined causing a stand-off with the security detail.

Later on, Akothee who spoke on the whole issue said that it was her legs that were longer than her skirt.

Make-up fail

A few weeks ago, Akothee faced the wrath of fans after she had a terrible make-up fail, while in the US. The mother of five had traveled for the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) and hell broke loose when she went to collect her award for the best female artiste of East Africa. Fans described her as a hot mess.

Her make-up was unblended, not contoured, her lace wig was not well set and the red dress she had didn’t look like the kind of dress an artist would wear to a red carpet.

In her defense, she did her own make up and was very okay with how she looked, also acknowledging that it is not an easy thing to do.

The fans advised madam boss to get a make-up artist to prep and primp her to perfection, since she needs to look good all the time.

Make up is one of the strongest tools a woman can have, it is a life saver. Eyeliner, mascara, foundation, concealer, blush and lipstick, are some of the items that enhance women’s looks, makes them feel better about themselves and boost their self-esteem.

Sometimes, people make unfortunate choices in the products by going for the wrong shades and the results are usually unflattering shocking and disastrous.

Leaked sex tape? (Not Madam Boss)

Before we wrap up with hekaya za Akothee, there was the alleged leaked sex tape!

In October this year, a leaked sex tape went viral and people claimed that the lady on the video was Akothee and as most people believed it was her, the mother of five trashed the video saying she was better than what was in the video.

She went on to say that she does not need a sextape because she always walks naked and that can’t be her video.

Akothee further assured her followers that if any of her sex tape leaked, people would definitely see a white hand and a white manhood.

Netizens just can’t seem to get enough of Akothee.
