Upon arrival at the police station, Maribe was directed to the Divisional Criminal Investigations (DCI) Office for interrogation on what she knew on the ongoing investigations into the murder.
Maribe, who was grilled for one hour at DCI Kilimani in relation to the murder,also disclosed to detectives that she did not know Monica, adding that she had on several occasions warned Irungu not to come to her house with the firearm.
Maribe, had been accompanied by lawyer Katwa Kigen and her parents and was later referred to the DCI headquarters, Kiambu Road, where the homicide unit grilled her.
Joseph Irungu, (Maribe’s fiancée) the prime suspect in the killing of 28-year-old businesswoman Monica, appeared in court on Thursday.
Details of police investigation into the murder of Ms Monica also indicates that suspect (Joe) and the deceased (Monica) had communicated for long, and that they even planned to meet at the airport on her arrival.
