Citizen TV’s Yvonne Okwara exposes imposter soliciting money using her name

Be Aware!!

In a post on her Instagram account, Ms Okwara has expressed her concerns after a guy masquerading as her started conning people on social media in the name of collecting money for a Children’s Home.

“Morning folks. There is yet another imposter on Facebook, supposedly collecting money for a children's home. Please note this is NOT my page and the person running it, asking kind people out there for money is a FRAUDSTER. You are all generous people, but do not be fooled by this crook!” shared Yvonne OKwara.

Famous people in the society have been facing a rough time on social media, due to duplication of their accounts by other people.

Her exposé comes days after Ms Okwara shared a powerful statement, disclosing that her loyalty is never grounded on any TV station as she always focuses on professionalism no matter who she is working for.

"They say, the only constant in life is change! I'm enjoying this new chapter in my career! My loyalty is not to any TV station. It is to my values and what I bring to the table. Powerful journalism that asks the tough questions, speaks truth to power. Providing a platform where the powerful and the powerless can engage! That is what I hope my legacy will be. I hope you will take this journey with me, no matter where I go!” shared Yvonne Okwara
