Ugandan socialite Zarinah Hassan popularly known as Zari Hassan has sent an emotional message to her late ex-husband Ivan Ssemwanga.

Zari in a post on her Instagram page talked of how she misses him and that no day passes without her praying for him and her mother.

“Can’t believe it’s almost a year since God called you, it seems like yesterday. No day passes that I don’t pray for you and mom. May your souls continue resting in peace. We surely come from far. Here Don is seen carrying Pinto (who is a giant now), started from the bottom right? Your missed #RandomPost," she said.

Zari’s ex-husband Ivan Ssemwanga and father of her three sons passed on in May 2017 after he developed heart complications and went into comma for two weeks in a hospital in South Africa before he died.

Zari Hassan’s mother Halima Hassan also died barely two months later over heart failure at Nakasero Hospital in Uganda, where she was receiving round the clock care.
