Stoners have better sex than other people

We're about to smoke up the ongoing prejudice.

Well, we’re about to smoke up this prejudice in the chalice of science.

To quote one of my favourite reads on sex and cannabis, “Guys are great, weed is phenomenal and when you combine the two, you get a better combination than Nutella and a spoon. Add sex into the equation and you have hit the trifecta of bliss.”

It is probably why the results of this research named weed sex the best kind of sex.

A new study by Standford University (USA) shows that cannabis consumers are more active in one area than 'sober’ people- in bed.

The urologists from California published their work in the "Journal of Sexual Medicine". They compared data from a major US health survey. 50,000 men and women between the ages of 25 and 45 had reported their use of cannabis in the previous year and how frequently they had sex during the same period.

The results showed that regardless of age, sex, ethnicity or life situation, those who stoned daily, had about 20% more than non-stoners. Women had sex 7.1 times more in four weeks and men 6.9 times more.

Until now, it has always been assumed that marijuana consumption restricts libido and even leads to erectile dysfunction.

"Frequent use of marijuana does not appear to diminish sexual motivation and performance. If anything, it is associated with increased coitus frequency," says senior author, Michael Eisenberg.

The incidence of sex increased quite parallel to cannabis use - regardless of whether the respondents also consumed other drugs such as alcohol or cocaine or not.

How high the individual doses were is not clear from the data.

In Kenya use of marijuana is illegal and will lead to years of imprisonment according to the laws as stated in the Penal Code of Kenya.

In the west however, Cannabis has been deemed an aphrodisiac in the folk medicine traditions of many cultures throughout history. Today, a growing segment people are using it to help enhance their sex lives. In California, there exists a woman who is even selling “Sexxpot,” a low-THC variety (the psychoactive component) said to increase female sexual desire and pleasure.
