Abduba Dida is back! Vows to take Jubilee, Nasa home

"All other presidential candidates do not understand the problems we face like I do. I will use this understanding to restore sanity in our society," he stated.

Dida who has teamed up with Prof George Wajackoyah of Roots party of Kenya and together formed the Tunza coalition, said he will give Uhuru a run for his money in the upcoming general election.

The Alliance of Real Change party leader also vowed to return Kenya on the God’s path.

“One thing I have for Kenya and one thing tunza has for Kenya is we will want to know more about God and if you don’t want that go and vote for the other candidates”

He added his first task in office will be to award salaries cognisant to the level of education of civil servants.

"You cannot have a police officer with a PhD earning peanuts while a President with only one degree earns a ridiculous salary," he said.

Mwalimu Dida in his characteristic practical approach to the country’s huge problems, declared in a bid to reduce the country’s high infant and maternal mortality rate he will take a programmatic approach.

“If I become the president I said this and I will repeat again, no woman will be given a married certificate unless she knows nutrition, Hakuna!”

Dida is well remembered for his wit and unconventional approach to leadership during the 2013 presidential elections where he garnered 52,848 votes, representing 0.43 per cent of the popular vote.

President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed him the chair of the Constituency Development Fund but was fired in 2014 after MPs and some Kenyans opposed his appointment saying due process stated in the constitution was not followed.

Dida becomes the latest entrant the race after lawyer Philip Murgor announced his candidature last month and Nyamira Senator Okongo Mongare expected to launch his bid in two weeks time.
