Matiang’i Finally Speaks on Changing KCPE/KCSE Dates

This is it!

Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi on Monday finally stated that the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examinations dates will not be changed.

This he said following pressure by the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders to change the examination dates as there was still disagreement on when the fresh presidential election should be conducted.

Speaking during a press conference, Mr. Matiang'i noted that the IEBC had not communicated to the Ministry on whether the election date will be changed.

"IEBC has not made any official communication to us indicating that there might be changes on the election date," he divulged.

“We will come back to the public in case IEBC changes election date, but as we stand now the exam timetable is not going to change,” he mentioned.

Earlier, NASA flag bearer stated that students will not 'die' if the exam dates were changed.
